We are Jean-Philippe and Brigitte Merand and the owners of the Hotel Tropical Lodge in Samana in the Dominican Republic. The Hotel has been constructed and is operated by us for 18 years. It is mentioned in most of the travel guides around the world, because we like to please and give our customers a very good treat.
We have to offer: A hotel with 17rooms,restaurant,cafeteria, pizzeria and a tropical garden with swimming pool and Jacuzzi build on a hillside right in front of the Malecon and facing the port of Samana.
Rooms are with private bathroom fan or air-condition, Some are with balcony and cable TV.A library with over a thousand books is also available to the reader. There are many excursions that can be taken from the hotel and various beaches are nearby. The hotel is a small paradise for the person that is looking for peace and quiet. That likes to relax and don't mind the missing offer of agitated nightlife. Still there are restaurants, small comfortable bars, shops and places to dance and enjoy the local Caribbean music. Samana is a city of peaceful and happy people.
